MPABOA 365

MPABOA 365 is a project on shoes donation and mental health awareness for underprivileged children. MPABOA is the twi word for shoes.

MPABOA 365 is inspired by NSAPATO NGO from Malawi. NSAPATO is also Nyanja for shoes. The main aim of NSAPATO NGO is shoe donations.

Rest Philanthropy is collaborating with NSAPATO NGO, Malawi to solve the issue of lack of shoes with students both in Ghana and in Malawi.

Let's all come together to help these young ones. The lack of shoes can prevent them from coming to school since they have to walk for longer distances. Which can be detrimental to their mental health and also affect their education.

This is why we also intend to make them aware of their mental health.

According to WHO, across the African Region, more than 116 million people were already estimated to be living with mental health conditions pre-pandemic. Suicide rates remain particularly concerning, as are the exponential rates of alcohol use and abuse among adolescents as young as 13 years of age.

This is why Rest Philanthropy is embarking on this great project together with Nsapato NGO to spread the awareness of mental health in January 2024.
